Algernon (Algie) C. Fenendael

Algernon (Algie) C. Fenendael , 80, Algoma, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Bellin Hospital. He was born September 28, 1935 in Luxemburg to the late Goldie and Catherine (Laurent) Fenendael. Algie was a graduate of Casco High School, Class of 1953. He then attended UW- Madison Farm Short Course. Algie married Jeanette Vandertie on June 10, 1961 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Rosiere.

Algie served our country as a member of the US Marine Corps. He was known by many as a jokester, and Pork Chop King. Algie enjoyed a successful career selling harvesters and buildings while continuing his passion for farming.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette of 55 years; his children, Scott (Tonya) Fenendael, Christine (Paul) Michaels, Stuart (Debbie) Fenendael; Grandchildren, Bryson and Levi Fenendael, Brett, Benjamin, Lindsey and Lillian Michaels, Madison and Miley Fenendael; Step Grandchildren, Jessica and Justin, Heather, Danielle, Dustin and Colt; Brother, Eli (Nancy) Fenendael; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Wilbur Vandertie, LaVerne Bretl, Marion Tanck, Mildred (Walter) Denil, (Judy) Vandertie and (Shirley) Vandertie.

He was preceded in death by infant grandchildren, Mason and Montana Fenendael, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Frank and Emily Vandertie; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Richard (Rose) Vandertie, Bernice Walter, Raymond Vandertie, Norbert (Kathleen) Vandertie, Alvin Vandertie, Roy Vandertie, Lindy (infant) Vandertie, Laverne Vandertie, Norbert Bretl and Robert Tanck.

Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home - Algoma, 1617 Flora Ave. on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4-8 PM with a wake service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 11th from 9-11 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM with Fr. Steve Vanden Boogard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wiesner-Massart Funeral Homes are handling arrangements. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
