Agnes Tuma , 91, formerly from the Town of Casco, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Kewaunee. She was born May 8, 1925 to the late Wenzel and Anna (Mazanek) Tuma.
Agnes was born at home on the family farm which was carved out of the wilderness by her grandparents and great-grandparents. She attended Hawthorne school and graduated from Casco High School in 1943. Along with her brother Francis, they owned and operated the family farm until retirement. She made her home on the farm because she liked the farm animals, the outdoor country life, gardening, farming and taking care of her kitties.
She is survived by friends Germaine and Lori. She was preceded in death by her father, a war veteran and her mother. Her only brother also preceded her in death on January 9, 2004
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday October 10, 2016 from 10-11 am. Funeral will follow at 11:00 am with Father Milton Suess officiating. Burial will then take place in the church cemetery. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
