Allen Gilson

July 21, 1938 — March 7, 2012

Allen Gilson, 73, Luxemburg, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on Wednesday March 7, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born July 21, 1938 in the Town of Brussels to the late Melvin and Rose (Thiry) Gilson.

Allen married Audrey Jadin on September 23, 1961 at St. Martin Catholic Church, Tonet.

He was employed at Procter and Gamble for over 30 years until retiring. He was a member of the Luxemburg Fire Dept. and Kewaunee County Civil Defense. Along with his wife, they enjoyed traveling. Allen also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in all of their various activities.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Audrey; his children, Lynn (Ron) Anderson, Casco, Anthony (Jill) Gilson, Luxemburg, Daniel (Tree) Gilson, Luxemburg, Francis Gilson, Casco; grandchildren, Eric Anderson, Justin (special friend, Brook Luedtke) Anderson, Josh, Elizabeth and Emily Gilson; brothers and sisters, Donald Gilson, Diane Massart, Leon Gilson, Gary Gilson, Wayne (Mary Ann) Gilson, Joanne Blahnik, Mary Ann (Dennis) Lockstein, Sharon (Ken) Rass, Mel (Mary) Gilson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Verna (Jim) Wautlet, Delores (Jim) Baudhuin, Myron (Kathy) Jadin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Rose Gilson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Orville and Alice Jadin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arnold LaCrosse, Jim Blahnik, Patricia Gilson, Martha Jadin; nephew, Rick LaCrosse.

Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Casco from 4 to 8pm on Sunday March 11, 2012. Visitation will continue Monday morning at the funeral home until 10am. Parish Wake Service will be Sunday evening at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Catholic Cemetery, Tonet.
