Anita Marie (Welsh) Doerre

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Marie Doerre, 79, of Kewaunee, WI, unexpectedly on August 3, 2022. She was born in Mt. Clemens, MI to the late George and Marie (Nonte) Welsh and raised in Louisville, KY. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University and was a Physical Therapist for 50 yrs, after retiring from St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI.

Anita was devoted to her family, friends, colleagues, and patients. She was a highly respected mentor in her profession which was packed full of achievements. She influenced thousands of lives and impacted patients in a positive way. She changed the lives of so many who were blessed by her healing hands. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who always put others’ needs before her own. She was known for her tenacious personality and infectious laugh. She was loved dearly and will be sorely missed by all.

Anita enjoyed reading, writing, spending time at the lake, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching sports in her free time, especially her beloved Green Bay Packers. “Go pack go!”

Anita is survived by her three children and six grandchildren, son John (Laura) Doerre {grandchildren Shane, Chandler, Mason, & Madison}, son Paul (Teresa) Doerre {grandchildren Owen & Trinity), and daughter Julie Doerre. She was preceded in death by her father, George Welsh, mother, Marie Welsh, and her brother, James Welsh.

There will be a private family celebration of life.
