Barbara Sue (Young) Daming

January 3, 1939 — October 29, 2022

Barbara Sue (Young) Daming, 83, passed away peacefully October 29, 2022 due to natural causes. She was born January 3, 1939 in Richland City, Indiana to Opal Kenneth and Bertha Louise (Embry) Young.
Barbara Sue (or Bobbi Sue) graduated from Luce Township High School in Richland, Indiana in 1957.  Upon graduation she traveled to Washington D.C. to begin a position in Administration at the United States Pentagon. Barbara’s High School sweetheart, John Earl Daming was enlisted in the United States Navy near her residence. They married July 21, 1958, John Earl and Barbara Sue were happily married 30 years before John Earl preceded her in death October 1, 1988.
For many years, Barbara enjoyed and worked part-time as a Postal Rural Mail Carrier in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. This position was not for the faint-of-heart due to the winter driving conditions in Wisconsin. Barbara had many interests and hobbies; she was an accomplished painter, world-wide traveler, master seamstress and avid book reader. She volunteered with Kewaunee United Methodist Church ministries and traveled to dozens of countries spreading God’s Word and building new churches. Barbara earned her well-deserved nickname; “Indiana Mom” from her missionary travel adventures.
Barbara is survived by her brother and wife; Kenny and Bonnie Young, her three children and spouses; Suzanne Daming, Chris and Brenda Daming, Renee and Mark Bernu; grandchildren; Eric Kinjerski, Vanessa Reed, Taylor Daming, Hailee Daming and Sawyer Bernu; plus, three great grandsons: Corbin, Keller and Bryson Kinjerski and her many nephews and nieces. Barbara is predeceased by two grandchildren: Shannon Kinjerski and Dawvyn Bernu. Barbara married life-long friend: Wayne A. Vanover on April 25, 1997 in a private home ceremony.  Wayne preceded Barbara in death on October 8, 2021. Barbara deeply treasured and loved all her family and friends.
