Betty Vansteenburgh

Betty VanSteenburgh, 97, was born in Minnesota on January 7, 1928. She died Friday, September 26, 2025, in Algoma. She married Carroll Anderson and together they had four children. She later married Leon VanSteenburgh on September 17, 1978. Leon preceded her in death in 2017.

Betty enjoyed visiting with people, traveling, and liked to decorate her house. She loved music and playing the piano was a favorite pastime. 

Betty is survived by her children, Mark (Linda) Anderson, Paul Anderson, Karen (Richard) Nohel, Mary Beth Furrer; step children, Mark (Connie) VanSteenburgh, Sherrie (Jim) Corttrell; grandchildren, Eric Anderson, Geoff (Jennifer) Anderson; step grandchildren, Kristen, Austin (Samantha) VanSteenburgh, Aaron VanSteenburgh, Hannah (Johnny) Cress, Owen VanSteenburgh, Kelsey (Vic) Vannerson, Kara Corttrell; step great grandchildren, Wesley and Zander VanSteenburgh, and Peyton Vannerson.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Emma Nelson.
