Blanche Lukes , aged 103 passed away at Algoma Long Term Care on Sunday, October 9, 2016. She was born August 20, 1913 to Frank and Mary (Marita) Dvorak in Algoma. On April 18, 1933, she married Jerry Lukes in Michigan. They lived in Algoma most of their later years. Blanche was a stay at home mom. She was the last surviving child of her parents.
Blanche is survived by son, Donald; daughter, Carol (Don) Reinke; 3 grandchildren, Cheryl, Mark, and Jennifer; 6 great grandchildren, Mariah, Cole, Mina, Rowan, Nichol, and Amy; great great grandchildren, Madison, Jackson and Jadyn; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999, her daughter-in-law JoAnne Lukes and her brothers and sisters.
Per Blanche's wishes, cremation has been followed and a private family burial will take place. Online condolences may be expressed here .
