Caroline Mae (Plinske) Schumacher

Caroline Schumacher, age 85 of Algoma died on Sunday, August 23 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center.  She was born on May 2, 1935 in the Town of Ahnapee to the late Arthur and Meta (Schley) Plinske.

She married Roger Schumacher on June 6, 1964 in Algoma and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2013.

Caroline worked for Algoma Net Co., receiving a fifty year certificate and retiring in 2004.  She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Algoma. She enjoyed living on the farm and taking care of her cats.

Survivors include three nephews: Larry (Karen) Braun, Luxemburg; Dale Braun, Algoma; James Braun, Rosiere; and one niece: Carol (James) Euclid, Kewaunee; many great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister: Jeanette Braun; two brothers: Wilmer (Caroline) Plinske; Harley (Jane) Ebert and one nephew: Harold Ebert.

Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 406 Fourth St. Algoma until the time of services.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
