Catherine V. Monfils, 86, formerly of Rosiere, passed away on Thursday January 29, 2015 at Anna's House. She was born on January 14, 1929 in the Town of Lincoln to the late Julian and Katherine (Jandrin) Finendale. Catherine was a graduate from Casco High School. In October of 1947, she married Vernie Monfils at St. Peter Catholic Church in Lincoln. After her marriage, Catherine farmed in the Town of Lincoln with her husband until retiring and moving to Green Bay. While living in Green Bay she volunteered at Nativity of Our Lord Parish. She and Vernie enjoyed going to garage sales together. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. While at Anna's House she joined in all of their activities.
Catherine is survived by her husband Vernie Monfils; son and daughter-in-law Adrian and Lynn Monfils, Luxemburg; grandchildren and great-grandchildren David (Sarah) Monfils and their children Josephine and Louisa; Amy Monfils and her fiancAC. Rob Doubeck and their children Cali, Keegan, and Ashton; Daniel (Elizabeth) Monfils and their son Adrian; and two sisters Genevieve Monfils and Helen Annoye. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Magdeline (Emmery) Bellin, Agnes (Henry) Ledocq, and Marvin (Helen) Finendale; brothers-in-law Richard Monfils, and Elmer Annoye; and sisters-in-law Irene (Eben) Bellin, and Laura (Melvin) Wautlet.
There will be a private service on Monday at The Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum with Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Entombment to follow. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared here .
