Clara (Buhr) Engebose, 97, Casco, went to her eternal rest on April 29, 2026. She was born in the Town of Lincoln on October 21, 1928, to the late Peter and Louise (DeBauche) Buhr. She married Harvey Engebose on September 14, 1948, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Lincoln and farmed the Buhr homestead until their retirement. She was a member of St. Peter & St. Hubert Church in Lincoln and Rosiere. Clara loved baking, sewing, patch quilting, gardening and canning whatever her garden produced. She loved having the family over for holiday dinners.
Clara is survived by her children, Mark Engebose, Pulaski; Dale (Julie) Engebose, Casco; grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Theresa Engebose; son-in-law, Howard Evers; sisters-in-law, Marie Engebose, Barb Buhr, Laura Buhr; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; her son, Cletus, daughter, Joyce Evers. Also preceded in death by sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Louise (Elmer) Krause, Malionie (Orville) Deprey, Margaret Buhr, infant sister, Peter Buhr, Nick Buhr, Anthony (Ella Mae) Buhr, Eli Buhr, Edmund (Ruth) Engebose, Hank (Bernice) Engebose, Harris Engebose, Lorraine (Lawrence) Jeanquart, Andrew Engebose, Rose Marie (Florian Jr) Conard; as well as by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church Lincoln on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00-10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Bay Settlement.
The family would like to thank the staff from Unity Hospice, Bellin Hospital's amazing staff in Green Bay and all the staff at Amethyst in Algoma for the care and compassion that they gave to our mom. God Bless you all.
