Clark Urban

July 15, 1937 — March 22, 2020

Sumter, SC…Clark Urban, age 82, beloved husband of Janet Gaydos Urban, died on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Leo Urban and Marcella Brezinski Urban. Mr. Urban served in the US Air Force and was a restaurateur for many years. He was a member of St. Anne and St. Jude Catholic Church. He was devout catholic and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He loved sports and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. He enjoyed playing golf, horseback riding, dancing, and traveling. In addition, he loved to visit auctions and thrift stores. Mr. Urban was a fun loving man who had zest for life and enjoyed spending time with people. He was very outgoing and never met a stranger. Mr. Urban will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife Janet of Sumter are: one son, Clark “J.R.” Urban, Jr. of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Tracy Amendolar and her husband Jim of Ohio and Cheril Whitton and her husband Craig of Indiana; two sisters, Patricia Schmit and her husband Jacob of Manning, SC and Sandi Sell of Wisconsin along with five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Urban and daughter, Babette Urban.

In light of the Recent Novel COVID-19 virus, the family will hold a memorial mass at a later date.
