Cletus J. Conard (C.J.)

Cletus Joseph Conard, 70 of Algoma, Wi. Passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Hospital March 8th, 2024. He was born on December 10, 1953, to the late Lawrence and Mary (LuMaye) Conard. C.J. married Lynn Palazzo at the Lake Michigan Shoreline in Algoma on August 29th, 1992. C.J. attended St. Mary's Grade school and Algoma High School. He graduated in 1972. He left the next day to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Spending time in St. Louis, MO., then Ft Dix, N.J., Germany and Hawaii. Returning in 1981 to Algoma where he worked at the Algoma Hardwoods. His connection with family, friends and country was most important to him. His activities keeping him busy were being involved with Disabled American Veterans, Amvets, American Legion and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.

C.J. is survived by his sister Germaine (Lester) Paape, their children Tonya & Dean Sanner, Cory & (Becky) Paape, Brother Allan Conard (Patti), Lynn's children Ryan (Amy) Klimek, Kris Klimek, Justin Klimek, Brother-in-laws Vince Palazzo, Kent (Lorna) Palazzo, sister in-law Kimberly Palazzo (husband Randy). His special niece Amy Palazzo. Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Cletus was proceeded in death by his parents Mary & Lawrence Conard, Godmother Anna Mae Kirk, Godfather Lawrence LuMaye. In-laws Harry & Carol (Koss) Palazzo.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Andrew Kurz officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery with full military rites. Online Condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
