Cole O. Kuehl, 78, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at Aurora Hospital in Two Rivers. He was born August 7, 1945, in Kewaunee to Elmer A. and Helen O. Kuehl.
Cole graduated from Kewaunee High School in the early 60’s and went on to post-secondary education at Steven’s Point. He then went on to work in security and law enforcement in Colorado and Sweetwater County in Wyoming.
Cole later returned home to Kewaunee and worked for the Sheriff’s department for four years before he retired. He was an honorary member of the Badger State Sheriffs' Association. He married Sherry Kuehl on September 16, 1994. They resided in Kewaunee County since then. He enjoyed taking care of the family dogs they had together, Belle and Maggie, making trips to town to get the paper and finding out the town news and doing crossword puzzles while watching football. He especially enjoyed Sherry’s cooking.
