Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" M. (Legois) Tadisch, 67 years of experience, 49 years of marriage, completed her journey of life August 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and coworkers. On November 5, 2025, she was diagnosed with liver cancer while working that day. Showing great courage, she refused to let cancer take control of her life no matter how many treatments she endured.

She was born March 26, 1959, to Darwin and Christine Legois. She graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1977. She continued her education at NWTC and College to become a Respiratory Therapist. She worked in that field for 47 years at St. Vincent Hospital. Cindy was also an Emergency Medical Responder in her home area. Healthcare was her passion, offering care and passion to those she knew and those she took care of, as well as her coworkers.

Cindy helped on the farm but took great pride in the flowers she planted in her garden. There was always a new plant somewhere. Canning vegetables with her grandkids was the highlight of her gardening.

Christmas was one of her favorite holidays. Making Christmas cookies, putting up her village and decorating the tree were great enjoyments for her. Knitting was a hobby that led her to donate many hats blankets to St. Vincent's, Veteran Services, and the Golden House. Her travels led her to many adventures with Tammy, Vicky, Sister Cathy, and her mother Christine and many friends.

Cindy married Steve on December 17, 1977. They had two daughters, Tammy (Gary) Seidl of Manitowoc, and Vicky (Steve) Dalhke. Cindy's grandkids, Alison and Payton Seidl and Brandan, Cole, and Zach Dalhke were her prized possessions. She is also survived by her mother Christine. Cindy is further survived by her sister, Cathy Kaus of Tennessee; brothers, Tom (Darlene) Legois, De Pere, Tim (Mary) Legois, Casco; Godchildren, Shawn Kaus, Kari Campbell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jim and Pat Duescher and Walter and Kathy Waegli; nieces and nephews; her second family, St. Vincent's Respiratory Care Department, Kelly, Jim, Janelle, and the rest of her coworkers.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Darwin Legois; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Geraldine Tadisch.

A visitation will take place Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kinnard Funeral Home, Kewaunee. Closing prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Church, Tisch Mills. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial at a later date. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the Tadisch family. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com.

Cindy's family would like to thank the neighbors and friends for their help and concern from the first day of diagnosis to the end. She may not have returned all the messages, but she was amazed by how many. Also, thanks to the nurses she worked with and took special care of her during her ICU stay. They did everything they could for this "special lady" they called her. Thank you to the doctors who knew her personally, and left no stone unturned during her hospital stay, and the Oncology Department for their care.
