Dale H. Jorgensen

Algoma

Dale H. Jorgensen, 95, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Sycamore Lodge in Algoma. Dale was born on April 8, 1930, to the late Harold and Alsen (Swagel) Jorgensen. He graduated from Algoma High School in 1948. He then joined the US Army in 1951, where he served during the Korean War as a radio engineer and communication chief. He married Joyce Kirchman on December 21, 1995, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Algoma. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2024. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Algoma. Dale was a Carpenter for much of his life and also enjoyed building and flying planes. Together, he and Joyce, enjoyed airplane rides, polka dancing, motorcycle rides to various places, and spending time with friends and family.

Dale is survived by his children, Dale Jr. (Janet) Jorgensen, Kewaunee, Daniel Jorgensen and David Jorgensen, both of Algoma; daughter, Debra (Kenneth) Pallex, Algoma; step-children, Gary (Charlotte) Kirchman, Becky Kirchman (Fran Petiniot), and Kevin (Jane) Kirchman; grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Jorgensen, Craig (Kelly) Jorgensen, Kristin Cordeiro (fiancé Dustin Ducat), Paul (Danielle) Jorgensen, Carrrie Jorgensen (friend Jack Williford), Jessica Jorgensen, David Jorgensen Jr., Jenny (Freddie) Bernal, Brian (Holly) Pallex, and Rachel (Alan) Schmidt; 4 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Judy Levy; as well as by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kirchman; son, Darrell Jorgensen; and infant daughter, Diane; grandson, Adam Pallex; his parents, Harold and Alsen Jorgensen; brothers, Dewey Jorgensen and Darwin Jorgensen; brother-in-law Robert Levy; as well as by the mother of his children, Elizabeth Jorgensen.

Visitation will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Algoma on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastors John Moll and Joel McKenney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
