Stromdahl

David Bernard Stromdahl, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on August 7, 1949, in Illinois, to the late Bernard & Hulda (Beckdahl) Stromdahl, David spent his life forging meaningful connections and pursuing knowledge with an insatiable curiosity. He made his home in Algoma, WI, where he shared many cherished moments with his wife, Debbie Stromdahl.
David was truly a “Mr. Fix-It,” always ready to tackle any repair job with a smile. His tinkering and problem-solving abilities were legendary—he could often be found surrounded by tools, researching the best way to fix anything until he mastered it. A lifelong learner, he approached life with a sense of wonder and an eagerness to grow.
In his free time, you could find David in his workshop, showcasing his passion for woodworking by crafting a little bit of everything. He adored spending leisurely Sunday afternoons driving through the picturesque landscapes of Door County. David also had a special love for Swedish “stuff” food.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Ken West, Kurt West, and Phil (V) West; sisters. Jean (Todd) Stromdahl Kemnitz; nephews, Grant (Margaret) Gosizk and Gregg Gosizk.
