Deanna H. Naze, 87, Algoma, passed away peacefully at Aurora BayCare Medical Center on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born December 4, 1938, in the Town of Pierce, to the late Wilbert and Frances (Huck) Walter. Deanna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Deanna married Wayne Naze on November 5, 1960, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Lincoln. After graduating from Casco High School, Deanna went to school for cosmetology and worked at several local beauty salons. Deanna, always a hard worker, also spent some time working on the family farm. Later she worked at the Net Company in Algoma for many years. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family. Her other loves were sewing, cooking and baking, and playing Bingo.

Deanna is survived by her husband Wayne; her children, Mark (Elizabeth Timmins) Naze, Sue (Dan) Hafeman, Jeremy (Jill) Naze, Chris (LuAnn) Naze, Kelly (Jamie) Dachelet; grandchildren, Lainey (Charlie) Price, Julia (Hunter) Parsons, Mason Naze, Veronica Naze, Nathan Naze, Ashley Naze, Matthew Naze, Bradyn Naze, Thomas Naze, Colleen Dachelet, Carter Dachelet; daughter-in-law, Cathei Mincheski; great grandson, Corbyn Price. Deanna is further survived by brothers, David Walter, Dennis (Shirley) Walter; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wendy Walter, Jim (Judy) Naze, Cyndi (Randy) Berg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Frances Walter; son, Russel Naze; brothers, infant Wilbert Walter Jr., and Donald Walter; father- and mother-in-law, Willard and Viola Naze; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willard Naze, Jr., Shirley Naze, and Thomas Naze.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Algoma with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning June 3, 2026, from 9:30-10:45 am at St. Mary Catholic Church – Algoma. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr.
