Dennis J. Raisleger's Obituary

Dennis J. Raisleger, age 78, suddenly passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was born on June 22, 1947, to Joseph C. and Evelyn J.  (Konop) Raisleger. He was the oldest of 6 children and grew up on the family farm in Stangelville. He married Joan Selner on October 23, 1971. They were married for 54 years.

He graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1965. Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1969 and served a 13-month tour in Korea from April of 1967 until May of 1968 working in top secret crypto. On January 23, 1968, the USS Pueblo was captured in North Korea. The Pueblo was made in Kewaunee, which meant 2 things from Kewaunee were there at the same time. He finished his military career at Fort Sheridan, IL. In 2018 he was able to be a part of the 45th Honor Flight.

Dennis was employed at Proctor & Gamble Paper Products for 29 years and then had part-time jobs until his full retirement. He was a volunteer driver for Kewaunee County Aging Services and volunteered with the VA in Green Bay for 7 years. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 1190, Robinson American Legion Post 538 Carlton, Winiecki VFW Post 9677, and Forty and Eight. In his younger years he loved to hunt, he played sheepshead cards on a regular basis and lived for the Green Bay Packers football season.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Jeff of Manitowoc, and Jim (Angie) of West De Pere; and his special granddaughter, Reese. Dennis is further survived by his siblings, Joe (Carla) Raisleger, Judy (Jim) Brickbauer, Linda (Dick) Montevideo, Mike (Patty) Raisleger, and Dale (Wanda) Raisleger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pat (Jerry) Jadin, Barb Porath, Glenn (Karen) Selner, Wayne (Tammy) Selner, Jerry (Renee) Selner, and Jean (Steve) Netols. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, friends and fellow veterans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Raisleger; father in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Viola Selner; and brother-in-law, Wayne Porath.

Visitation will take place Monday, April 13, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at St. Therese Parish, St. Lawerence Site, Stangelville. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com.

The family would like to thank the Green Bay Fire Department and Paramedics for Station 7 for their quick response, and the doctors and nurses at Aurora Medical Center.
