Donald E. Delebreau, 91, Casco, passed away on December 19, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He is leaving behind a legacy of love and accomplishments. Born on November 2, 1932, in Lincoln, to the late Theophile and Veronica (Koss) Delebreau. Catherine Delebreau, his stepmother, also played an important role in his life. Donald married Jeanette Stepanek on May 4, 1935 at Holy Trinity Church in Casco.
Donald's career was marked by service to his community. He held various positions throughout his life, starting with US Plywood and the Slovan Cheese Factory. Later, he became the town treasurer for the Town of Casco, and was on the Luxemburg-Casco School Board. Donald eventually retired as a police officer in Kewaunee County after many years of dedicated service.
Outside of his professional life, Donald had a range of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for playing cards, he found great joy and pride in his garden, he enjoyed Polka dancing, spending time with his family brought him immense happiness, as did cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Donald is survived by his wife of 68+ years, Jeanette; five children, David (Cathy) Delebreau, Cindy Delebreau, Darlene (Tom) Legois, Don (Michele) Delebreau, Karen (Paul) Simonar; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie Shelton, Ryan (Joy) Delebreau, Adam Delebreau, Brittany (Nate) McLeish, Brandon (Kiah) VandenPlas, Brittany (Brandon) Selner, Jason (Jen) Legois, Chad (Dave) Legois, Angie (Craig) Zellner, Trisha Legois, Brad Delebreau, Sara Simonar, Mitchell Simonar, 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Norbert (Joann) Delebreau; brothers-in-law Robert Juza, and Myron (Becky) Stepanek; sisters-in-law, Delores Sisel, and Marlene (Allen) Ronsman;, as well as by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant siblings, and 6 siblings.
Visitation will be held on December 28, 2023, from 8:30-11:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am with Msgr. Jim Dillenburg officiating with Deacon Bob Miller assisting. Entombment to follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
