Donald (Baron) Toppe , 75, Algoma, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. He was born May 7, 1941 to the late Lawrence and Marie (Geiger) Toppe. Donald married Victoria Langer on August 5, 1972 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma.
Donald worked for Bay Shipbuilding and other manufacturing jobs for most of his life. He was an avid Kolberg Braves and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his children, Kathie (Scott) Ehlke, Waukesha, WI, Bruce (Tina) Hoffmann, Valparaiso, IN, and Penny Rocque, Luxemburg, WI. Grandchildren, Braden, Emma, Alex, Joe, Abby, Taylor, and Jeffrey. Brother, James Toppe, Algoma and sister, Janet Zill, Millwaukee. Nieces, Lisa Chamberlain and Laurie Mallum, nephew David Zill and many longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Victoria, his parents and his in-laws, Stanley and Agnes Langer.
Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home - Algoma on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4:30-7:30 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am with Pastor Moldenhauer officiating.
