Donna (Pechman) Tess

Donna Tess, age 89, Brillion, formerly of Kewaunee, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, June, 23, 2018.  She was born on February 16, 1929, in Krok, to the late Herman and Lillian (Schoessow) Pechman.  She attended Krok grade school and graduated from Kewaunee High School.  After graduation she worked at Leyse Aluminum Co. office for five and a half years.

Donna married Burton John Tess on October 1, 1949, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church. The ceremony was performed by Rev. William Kuether. She was an organist at St. Peter’s for forty-three years and also served at Kolberg.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Mona and Terry Cox, Brillion; one daughter-in-law: Janet (Holub) Tess, Kewaunee; four grandchildren: Megan, Alison, Graem Cox (Fiancé, Katrina Geurts) and Mariah Tess; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Tess, Kewaunee; nieces, one nephew and a cousin: Nancy (Dennis) Haskell, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son: Mark Tess, one brother-in-law: Harlan Tess and one niece: Nancy Weiss.

Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, N2441 St. Peter’s Road, Kewaunee, on Tuesday, June 26 until the time of services.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Schmidt officiating.  Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
