Dorothy J. (DeJardin) Dhuey

Dorothy (DeJardin) Dhuey , 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 16, 2018. She was born on June 3, 1923 to the late Clem and Alice (Bouche) DeJardin. On September 8th, 1943 she married Goldie Dhuey. Together they had 5 children. Dorothy had many interests in her lifetime. She loved country music, gardening, quilting, and was an avid reader. She was also a spiritually devoted catholic woman. Her greatest devotion in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by and will be sadly missed by her children, Sandy (Joe) Gilson, Chris Dhuey, Phyllis (John) Shaline, Daune (Dennis) Shepard, and Brian (Sheryl) Dhuey; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister Lillian (DeJardin) Dubois; one sister-in-law Carol (Dhuey) Devillers; as well as by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Goldie; 6 brothers and sisters and their spouses; and one grandson, Jonathan Shaline.

Family and friends may visit Friday, December 21, 2018 from 9-11 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepard Mausoleum. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes, Casco is assisting the family.
