Dorothy Mae Majeski, affectionately known as Dottie, took her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven on November 21st, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on December 26, 1927, in Casco, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of the late Norah Fameree and Ella (Delwiche) Fameree. Dottie's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her love for family, and her vibrant personality.
On December 28, 1948, Dottie married Chester L. Majeski at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco, a union that would be blessed with a large and loving family. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2012. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and serving as an example to her family and community. Dottie's commitment to her faith was evident in her active participation in church activities, including the Rosary Society, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteering at Holy Trinity School.
Dottie was known for her infectious sense of humor and her love of dance. Even at the age of 96, she could still twirl a baton, a skill she cherished from her days as a drum majorette in high school. Her zest for life and her ability to find joy in simple pleasures left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
As a devoted housewife and mother, Dottie skillfully balanced her family responsibilities with her dedication to community service. She was actively involved in the Legion/Auxiliary, Girl and Boy Scouts, and worked actively during elections. Her contributions to these organizations reflected her deep commitment to giving back to her community.
Dottie's legacy lives on through her six children: Rox Anne Bowers of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; Nancy (Gary) Salmon of Green Bay Wisconsin; Joe (Jeanne) Majeski of Folsom, California; Dan Majeski of Scottsdale, Arizona; Mary (Dan) Wilcox of Winter Springs, Florida; and Susan (Paul) Lemens of Scottsdale, Arizona. Her thirteen grandchildren, who cherished dancing and playing music with their grandma, include Bridget (Spencer) Traynom, Heather (Ed) Miranda, Jessica (Leron) Gabriel, Danielle Salmon (Donny Spielman III), Adam (Lynsey) Salmon, Erin (Justin) Heaviside, Marnie (Wes) Kasen, Marek Majeski (Cristal Madrigal), Alek Majeski, Ryan (Dhyana) Wilcox, Travis (Jessica) Wilcox; Sydney Lemens, and Jake Lemens. Dottie was also blessed with eighteen great-grandchildren: Weston, Ella, Teagan, Colson, Leyton, Jackson, Madison, Donnie IV, Pearl, Colton, Wyatt, Max, Samantha, Elio, Matteo, Oliver, Kinsley, and Kylinn.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Chester L Majeski, sister Arlene Dhuey, brother Russell Fameree, and many brothers and sisters-in-law. Dottie is survived by her sisters-in-law Anne Majeski and Joan Fameree, who will miss her dearly.
