Elaine A. Charles, 87, Luxemburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born November 12, 1938, to the late Ervin Jr. and Elsie (Smith) Kazik. She married Myron Charles on April 19, 1958, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida. They celebrated 59 years together. Myron preceded her in death on February 5, 2017.

After retiring from Holy Cross Coventry & Parkview Manor, Elaine enjoyed woodworking with Myron, the Badgers and the Packers. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and her coffee. Her biggest achievement was gaining the love of everyone who crossed her path in life.

She is survived by her children Lisa and Neil Rabideau, Linda Schroeder, Luann and Craig Bass, Carl Charles and special friend Dawn, Lori and Jeff Higgins; grandchildren Renata and Athena Santiago, Katherine and Kelsey Stone, Michael and Emily Rabideau, Jacob Rabideau, Dustin and Amber Powell, Stephanie and Trevor Page, Tiffany Schroeder and special friend Tyler, Jake Haas and special friend Elizabeth, Luke Haas, Riley Haas and girlfriend Bridget, Taylor and Marshall Olson, and Briannna Higgins and special friend Jonny; great grandchildren KJ, Isabel, Damian, Jaden, Audra, Julie, Elliot, Elsie, and Baby-on-the-way.

She is further survived by her siblings and their spouses Eugene Kazik, Ellen Kazik, Edwin Kazik, Ellie Schilling, Earl Kazik, Elizabeth and Floyd Bohm, Angela and Mark Reimer, Ella Kazik, Patrick and Linda Kazik, Joanie and John Stuempges, Jan and Amy Kazik, Nancy Stephani, Charlie and Steve Wollenberg; in-laws Janice Charles, Jill Charles, Fran Charles, Diane and Dennis Opicka; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Myron; grandson Erich Lee Charles; her parents Ervin Sr and Elsie Kazik; sisters Evelyn, Eileen, Elizabeth; brothers Ervin Kazik Jr, Melvin, Joseph, Timothy and Anthony; sisters-in-law Judy Kazik, Karen Kazik, Marilee Kazik, Mary Kazik, Judy Gallagher, and Joyce Charles; brothers-in-law Lee Charles, Donald Charles, Marvin Charles, Robert Gallagher, George Wallenfang.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services, Casco. Prayer services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pat Ratajczak officiating. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Elaine's name.
