Casco

Evelyn "Granny" Mary Massart, 101, Casco, It is so hard to say goodbye after such a wonderful long life to our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on July 20, 1923, to the late John and Agnes (Eland) Johnson. She graduated from Algoma High School and later married Harris "Smokie" Massart. Evelyn was always by Harris's side, supporting him in his electrical motor repair business and working on the dairy farm. Their partnership was a testament to both love and dedication, a bond that withstood the test of time. Granny was a fixture in our hearts with her infectious warmth, a proud member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Peter St. Hubert Congregation,

She had a love for connecting with others, whether it be through making new friendships or spending quality time with her family. She had pride in her Belgian pie-making and found joy in candy-making - truly indulging both our sweet tooth and our hearts. The Rosiere Kermis was never the same without her presence, her laughter ringing in the air as she celebrated alongside her friends and loved ones.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Robert Massart, Green Bay; Annette (Richard) Coshenet, Omro; John (Diane) Massart, Luxemburg; Andrew (Jane) Massart, Casco; grandchildren, Lara Feldhausen, Damien Massart, Tricia Schroeder, Dr. Timothea Massart Vandenhuevel, Stacy Guelig, John D. Massart, Justin Massart, Nicole Potts, Brice Massart, Haley Vickman; great-grandchildren, Josiah Feldhausen, Taylor, Jacob, Logan, Maddi Massart, Kyler, Gavin Coshenet, Kayla, Briana, Nathan Guelig, Emilie Massart, Adelyn, Autumn, Collin Massart, Audree, Ellee Potts, Liam, Nolan, Rylee Massart, Evelyn, Theo Vickman; sisters, Doris Lokre and Beverly (Isadore) Kinjerski; and brother, Gerald Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris "smokie" Massart; infant child Diane; parents, John and Agnes Johnson; brothers, Willard Johnson, Donald Johnson, John Johnson; Sister, Bernice DeGuelle; daughter-in-law, Patricia Massart; grandson, Nicholas Coshenet; and great-granddaughter, Katherine Feldhausen.
