Everett E. Van Drisse, 85, of Casco passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday May 31, 2014. He was born on January 8, 1929 in Lincoln Township to the late Eli and Laura (Maufort) Van Drisse. On October 5, 1968 he married Elizabeth Humecke at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, Green Bay.
In 1984 Everett became President of the National Hay Association and was an active member for over 50 years, serving on the board of directors for several years. He was a hay dealer, shipping not only in this area but throughout the entire country. He was a life time member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln; and also the Catholic Order of Foresters. Everett loved farming. He also enjoyed reading about history, gardening, and attending auctions. He was very proud of his antique tractors. Most important to him was time spent with family.
Everett is survived by his wife Elizabeth of 45 years; daughters Laura (Jess) Coisman, Pulaski and Paula Van Drisse, Milwaukee; grandchildren Elizabeth Jeanquart, Brooke Coisman, Beau Coisman; one brother Sherman (Darlene) Van Drisse, Pardeeville; and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy (George) Grala, Garden City, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents Eli and Laura Van Drisse, a daughter Mary Jo Van Drisse, a son Joseph (Joey) Van Drisse, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Estelle and Frank Humecke.
Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning, June 5, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln from 9 a.m. till the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with Fr. Frank Sherry and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
