Fabian Englebert

Fabian Englebert, 99, Green Bay, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Bishops Court. He was born October 20, 1911 in Misiere to Elmond and Josephine (Vandertie) Englebert. Fabian attended Roosevelt School in Misiere.

Fabian married Emma Graves on November 22, 1934. They farmed for about five years and then moved to Green Bay. Fabian worked at the Fabry's Glove Factory in Green Bay until his retirement at age 65.

Fabian enjoyed fishing for walleye and perch, gardening, yard work, reading, inventing gadgets to use indoors and outdoors to make life easier, shooting pool, and visiting with relatives and friends.

Fabian is survived by his wife, Emma, a brother in law, Norbert Graves, nieces, nephews and friends.

Fabian was preceded in death by four sisters: Irene Englebert, Alice (Jule) Massart, Myrtle Retzlaff, Ida (Milton) Miller and three brothers: Eddie, William, and Louie (Ida) Englebert and two brother-in-laws: Joseph and Richard Graves.

Visitation will be at The Shrine of the Good Shephard Mausoleum on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 1 to 2 p.m. Entombment to follow. Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Fabian's relatives wish to thank Cameron McCain, a neighbor, and the workers at Bishops Court for all the special help given to Fabian, and to the Wiesner and Massart Funeral Homes for their assistance.
