Frank C. Fameree , 78, of Casco passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 22, 2018. He was born on January 27, 1940, to the late Ernest and Emma (Delain) Fameree. Frank was a proud graduate of Casco High. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Frank owned Fameree’s Red Owl Grocery Store in Casco with his brother Ernie. After the closing of the grocery store, he then began his career in Real Estate which he continued in until present. Frank gave back to his community in many ways including volunteering at the VA Clinic and served on the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors for many years. He played fast pitch softball for the 616 Club. He was recognized in 2017 by receiving the Luxemburg-Casco Alumni Award. Frank was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed cheering on the Badgers. He also enjoyed being a referee and umpire for many local sporting events. Frank loved his time with his family, flying, and time spent at the cottage.
Frank is survived by his daughter Lisa (Marty) Milton, Green Bay; son Steve (Dana) Fameree, Krakow; his grandchildren, Peighton, Reid, and Tate Milton and Kylee and Halle Fameree; Sue Cook, the mother of his children; two sisters Ethel Heier and Elsie Gengler; one brother Ernie (Mary Ellen) Fameree; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joan Fameree, Mary Ann Fameree, Tobi (Lon) Sterell, and Dale Vandervest; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Emma Fameree; brothers and sisters Betty (Joe) Arendt, Orville (Audrey) Fameree, Rita (Loyd) Heraly, Sam Fameree, Jeanette Vandervest, Jim Fameree, Allen Fameree, and Emma Jean (Rudy) Hanamann; and brothers-in-law Merle (Doc) Nelson, Gene Heier, and Alois Gengler; as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco from 4 to 8 p.m. Military service will be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday June 28, 2018 at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Full Military rites to follow Mass. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd, Bay Settlement. Online condolences may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Old Glory Honor Flight, or the Milo C. Huempfner VA Clinic, Green Bay.
