Harmon T. Allyn, 95, of Algoma, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born on April 7, 1923 to the late Frank & Melissa (Toffey) Allyn. He married his wife of 69 years, Violet Nell on November 6, 1948 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma. Together for over 70 years they owned and operated the Algoma Cleaners and Allyn's Coin Laundry. Harmon served as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Harmon served as a St. Paul's Church Council Member.
Harmon is survived by his wife Violet; daughter, Ann (John) Emery, Green Bay; grandchildren, Jenny Emery, Allyn (Cristi) Emery; great-grandchildren, Eden and Traverse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one infant son Chuckie, his parents, four brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Algoma, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Funeral; Service will take place at 11:00 with Pastor Joel McKenney officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery - Algoma with presentation of the flag. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home - Algoma is assisting the family.
