Isadore "Izzy" Kinjerski, age 88, of Kewaunee, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, with his family by his side. Izzy was born in Kewaunee on July 31, 1937, to the late, Isidore and Stella (Knipp) Kinjerski. He married Beverly Johnson on June 28, 1958, at St. Mary's Church in Algoma. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Together, Izzy and Beverly began married life on the family farm. After farming he worked at Hamachek's and finished his career as a welder at Kewaunee Engineering. Some of his hobbies included playing softball, pitching horseshoes, tinkering in the garage, mushroom picking, tending to his garden, working in his woods, playing the accordion and listening to polka music. He was a member of the Kewaunee Dartball League, and a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Family was important to him; he loved time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also very proud of his Case Tractor.
Izzy is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, Greg Kinjerski, Terry (Chip) Schleis, Virgie (Rob) Jacobs, Pat Kinjerski, Angie Havlovitz, Rachel (Lee) Treml, Duane Kinjerski, Connie (Ron) Rodrian; grandchildren, Sara (Bill) Smith, Ashley (Doug) Swanson, Sandy (Chet) Morton, Joel (Tara) Schleis, Stacy (Kevin) Obry, Kris (Jamie) Raisleger, Stephanie (Jeff) Balza, Katie (Tony) Miklaszewski, Dustin (friend Antonio) Kinjerski, Kyle Havlovitz, Justin Havlovitz, Tate Havlovitz, Travis (Amanda) Treml, Trevor Treml, Eli Treml, John Treml, Shay Kinjerski, Ryan (Ashley) Kinjerski, Amy ( John) Kleczka; great grandchildren, Isaac, Myles, Isabelle Smith, Stella, Shiloh, Sawyer Swanson, Hannah, Lily, Ella Morton, Leila Schleis, Brayden, Haley, Jonah Obry, Lincoln, Evie, Bennett Raisleger, Leo Kleczka, Braxten Bertrand, Beau and Colton Miklaszewski, Blake and Evan Balza; sisters-in-law Julie Kinjerski, Doris Lokre; brother-in-law Jerry Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law John Johnson and mother-in-law Agnes (Eland) Johnson; his daughter-in-law Ann Kinjerski; granddaughter, Heather Rodrian; brothers Harry, Tom, Lawrence, John, Frank, Joe, Simon, and Mike; sisters Rose Pardowsky, Sister Joanne Kinjerski, and Mary Ann Kinjerski.
A visitation will take place Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 9:00 am - 10:45 am at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, East Krok. Mass will follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Dennis Drury and Deacon Dave Scheuer officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
