Ivan DeKeyser, 77, Luxemburg, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, July 12, 2014.

He was born February 2, 1937, to the late Albert and Mary (Ettien), DeKeyser in Brussels.

He married Carol Dellis on July 18, 1964. Ivan and Carol would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 18th of this year.

Ivan was a cheese maker for many area cheese factories. He was well known and a friend to many people. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren as well as with his good friend Randy Jeanquart and his monthly card games with friends.

Ivan is survived by his wife Carol; daughters Jill (Scott) Vandervelden, Jamie Farr and friend Orville Ness, and Sarah (Dan) Loberger; eight grandchildren Codey, Trent, Wyona, Ivan, Carol, Brittney, Katie, and Gabrielle; three great-grandchildren Samantha, David, MacKenzie; sister Grace (Roland) Annoye; three half-sisters Darlene Buhr, Sharon (Wayne) Grosbeier, and Robin (Joe) Paye; one half-brother David (Kathy) DeKeyser); and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary DeKeyser; father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Lucy Dellis; two brothers Wilbur and Joe DeKeyser; and one sister-in-law Cindy Balza.

Friends may call at Wiesner & Massart, Casco, on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. Wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at church on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln, with Fr. Frank Sherry and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
