Jacqueline Rose (Schmidt) Duescher

Jacqueline Rose (Schmidt) Duescher traveled to her Heavenly home on Saturday, March 17, 2018 where she joined family and friends. Jackie Rose was born on June 1, 1937 to the late Vernon and Hilma (Schroeder) Schmidt. On June 6, 1955 she married Karl Herman Duescher in Shirley, WI.

Jackie and Karl were blessed with four children: Cynthia Gruetzmacher; Keith Duescher; Loren (Jill) Duescher; Kari (Steve) Selner; her grandchildren: Chris Gruetzmacher; Nicolas (Jessica) Gruetzmacher; Matthew Gruetzmacher; Nina Gruetzmacher and special friend, John Theys; Katie Jo Duescher and special friend, Mike Shillin ; Zachary and Erin Duescher; Emily and Madeline Selner; four great grandchildren: Alex and Arein Gruetzmacher; Amber Gruetzmacher; Michael Thomas Shillin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Hilma Schmidt; her husband, Karl; granddaughter: Amber Gruetzmacher; great granddaughter: Arianna Gruetzmacher; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: August and Elaine Duescher; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Anita and Waldmar Degner.

After Karl’s passing, Jackie became involved with the St. Paul’s Christian Service Guild. She also enjoyed time spent with her friends, Diane, Jean, Jo Ann and Sharon. We are sorry for the friends we forgot. We know that there were many. Thank you to Pastor Olson for the many visits at home or in the hospital.

Friends and family may call after 9:00 a.m. Friday March 23 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, N4118 County Road AB, Luxemburg, WI 54217 until the time of services. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Olson officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the care and concern that they gave Jackie and her family.
