James D. Fontaine

James D. Fontaine, age 54 of Kewaunee died on Friday, February 9, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Milwaukee on May 7, 1963 to Kenneth and Priscilla (Baumann) Fontaine

Jim married Roni Sue Brown on May 26, 1990 at St. John’s Church in Rankin.

He worked many years at NEW Plastics in Luxemburg until retiring due to illness.  Jim loved hunting and fishing and feeding the fish in his pond.  He was a self taught taxidermist in high school and continued to operate a shop at his home.

Survivors include his wife: Roni Sue; one son: Devin one daughter: Erin both at home; his parents: Kenneth and Priscilla, Kewaunee; one sister: Jane (Doug) Lax, Kiel; a brother-in-law: Rick (Melanie) Brown, Green Bay; his mother-in-law: Joyce Brown, Algoma; numerous nieces and nephews.  Also survived by very close friends: Terry, Scott, John and Rich and his four legged friends: Zoey and Roxy.  He was preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his nephew and God Son: Bryan Konop and best friend, Mark.

At Jim’s request there will be no memorial service, but there will be a gathering of friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m Tuesday, February 13 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee.
