Jeanette M. Delebreau

July 7, 1934 — April 25, 2025

Casco

Jeanette Mae Delebreau, 90, Casco, it is with heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Jeanette, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Sycamore Lodge in Luxemburg. Jeanette was born on July 7, 1934, to the late Edward and Mayme (Ciha) Stepanek. Jeanette married the love of her life, Donald Delebreau on May 4, 1955, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2023. The cardinal who came to visit near her window over the last several days we believe was Donald coming to welcome her home where they will now spend eternity together.

Jeanette served as an office manager in the Kewaunee County Highway Department where she worked for 25 years. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in the simple pleasures — tending to her beloved garden and preserving fruits and vegetables, for her family to enjoy throughout the year. Her passion for gardening matched her love for baking; her famous poppyseed desserts and Belgian pies were a delightful highlight for everyone. Jeanette spent her years nurturing not only her beautiful flower gardens but also the souls of those around her. She was a faithful member of the Altar Rosary Society, where she took pride in helping with funeral dinners, bringing comfort and nourishment during difficult times.

Jeanette is survived by her five children, David (Cathy) Delebreau, Cindy Delebreau, Darlene (Tom) Legois, Don (Michele) Delebreau, Karen (Paul) Simonar; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie Shelton, Ryan (Joy) Delebreau, Adam Delebreau, Brittany (Nate) McLeish, Brandon (Kiah) VandenPlas, Brittany (Brandon) Selner, Jason (Jen) Legois, Chad (Dave) Legois, Angie (Craig) Zellner, Trisha (s/o Chip) Legois, Brad (s/o Kayci) Delebreau, Sara (Josh) Dhuey, Mitchell (s/o Abi) Simonar, 14 great-grandchildren with another on the way; sisters, Delores Sisel, and Marlene Ronsman; brother-in-law Norbert (Joann) Delebreau; sister-in-law Becky Stepanek; as well as by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; brother, Myron Stepanek; brothers-in-law, Jerry Sisel, and Allen Ronsman; as well as by many in-laws from Donald’s family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 8:30-11:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am with Fr.
