Jesse J. Wery

Jesse J. Wery , 43, of Forestville, passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2018 surrounded by family, friends and pets after a long struggle. He was born July 6, 1974 to the late Clifford J. and Maryann R. Wery. Jesse married Shelly Pugh on July 22, 1994 at St. Louis Church in Dykesville. She was his strength and rock through everything.

He enjoyed life to the fullest on his own terms. He loved all outdoor activities including, hunting, fishing, camping, and cooking in the backyard where everybody was welcome. He enjoyed helping with the farm/field work. He would test his vehicles to the limit, especially at Baderville in the mud holes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2210.

He is survived by his wife Shelly; daughter, Melissa (Cody) Owen; brother, Tom (fiancé Kathy) Wery; sisters, Cheryl (Arnie) McCollister, Lori (Kirk) Gibson, Lisa (Ralus) Wagner, Jill (Greg) Perleberg; lifelong family friend Vernon Thiry, Jr.; 4 grandchildren; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Susan Wery.

Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home - Algoma, 1617 Flora Ave. on Friday February 9, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm and again at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma from 9 to 11 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Peter Stryker officiating. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be shared on the tribute wall.
