Joann Tadisch, age 83, of Kewaunee passed away on September 22, 2019. She was born on May 25, 1936 to the late James and Ruth (Keehan) O’Hearn.
She considered becoming a nun until she met Martin Tadisch, who she married in 1956 at St. Patrick's Church at Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2019. Together they operated a farm in the Town of Carlton until retiring. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ. She loved her cats, dogs, watching "Whinny the Pooh", liked polka dancing with her husband and kids, went to dances all the time.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Tom Temple; two sons: James and William (Bill) and grandchildren: Nicky (Doug) Moore; Colton; Stella and great grandchildren: Conall and Tiernan; two brothers: Tom (Mary) O'Hearn; Mel (Margaret) O’Hearn and a sister: Leone O’Hearn Karstaedt ; a sister-in-law: Geraldine Tadisch. She was preceded in death by an oldest son, John, who passed away at birth; husband, Martin; her parents: James and Ruth O'Hearn and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Felix and Verna Tadisch; brothers-in-law: Gordon Karstaedt; Joe Tadisch; sisters-in-law: Phyllis (William) Stodola; Elizabeth (Iggy) Grenda and Harriet (Robert) Mott.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon Friday, October 11, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Vance of Faith Church, Manitowoc officiating.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Kewaunee Care Center, formerly Atrium Post Acute Care Center and St. Vincent Hospital, for the care and concern that they gave Joann her family
