Joseph John Massart, 80, of Rosiere passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was born to the late Charles Sr. and Emily (Naze) Massart on December 3, 1937. He married Doris Havel on October 4, 1958 at St. Hubert’s in Rosiere. He was a dedicated farmer all of his life, also working at Rosiere Feed Mill, Charlie Pump and Pagel’s Ponderosa. He enjoyed puttering around with stuff, going fishing, and riding moped. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of AA for 12 years.

Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris; his children, Christine Kroening, Michael (Debra) Massart, Daniel (Diane) Massart, and Jane (John) Fenske; special family friends, Darrell & Lori Waller; grandchildren, Angela (Kevin) Gilbert, Coty (Angela) Kroening, Logan (fiancé Molly) Kroening, Amber (Justin) Rentmeester, Mandie (Chris) La Brec, Adam (special friend Tasha) Massart, Matthew (Amber) Massart, Erin (Kyle) Lemens, Joshua Fenske, and Eric (fiancé Mykayla) Fenske; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ruth Simon, Charles (Marilyn) Massart, Mark (Marge) Massart, Mag (Cletus) Havel, Kathleen (Don) Leurquin; sister and brothers-in-law, Wendy (Don) Walter and Mark Lohrey.

He is preceded in death by his son Joey Massart; parents Charles and Emily Massart; sister Jennie (Bill) Merline; brother-in-law, Cletus Simon; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Doris Havel; sister-in-law Donna Lohrey; and son-in-law Randy Kroening.

Friends may call at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 4-8 pm, with a wake service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:00-9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Rosiere with Fr. Jim Massart officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be shared on the tribute wall.
