Josie R. Naze, 102 of Green Bay (formally of Casco) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 21, 2011. She was born in the town of Red River to the late Frank Glime and Antoinette "Nettie" (Nowe) Glime. Josie married Elmer Naze on October 30, 1929 at St. Martin church in Tonet. He preceded her in death June 25, 1992. Josie enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her huge garden, canning, and playing cards. She had a talent for making hand-stitched quilts with a group of ladies, sewing and crocheting. Josie's favorite Saint was Saint Therese. She spent a great deal of time at the Chapel throughout her life.
She is survived by four children, Aaron (Carol) Naze, Green Bay, Yvonne Gigot, Luxemburg, Janet Swoboda, Wrightstown, Mary (Jack) Kalies, DePere; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; 8 step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Libbie Dearing, Spring Green; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gary Swoboda; a grandson, Tim Swoboda; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Felix (Margaret) Glime, Joseph (Anna) Glime, Edward Glime; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willard (Viola) Naze, Anna (Joseph) Glime, Laura (Louis) LeFevre, Agnes (Carl) Mazur, Paul Dearing.
Visitation will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Green Bay on Friday September 23rd from 9am to 11am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Lincoln.
