Obituary

Karen A. Kinjerski, 79, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Aurora Hospital – Green Bay. She was born November 13, 1946, to the late Sylvester and Clara (Roidt) Riha. She married Larry Kinjerski on September 30, 1967, at St. Mary’s Church, Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death in 2017.

Religion was very important to Karen, and she made it a big part of her and her family’s lives. She made rosaries out of roses. She had a love for dogs and enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends and family, especially Scrabble and Aggravation. Karen had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as a selfless person who always put others before herself.

Karen is survived by her children, Kerri, Cory, and Eric Kinjerski; grandson Jason and granddaughter Elizabeth; brothers-in-law Donald Kinjerski, Dennis (DeeAnn) Kinjerski; sisters-in-law Betty (Wayne) Gauthier, Sally (Russ Curtis) Havlovitz-Curtis; special friend Barb Bowman; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; brother Wayne (Joanne) Riha; sister Mary Ellen (David) Olszewski; sister-in-law Doris Saxby; brother-in-law Greg Havlovitz; nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Kewaunee on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 pm with a rosary service at 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 1782 Chappelle Rue, De Pere, WI 54115 at 11:00 am on Monday, April 20, 2026, with Fr. Andrew Dwyer officiating. Burial to follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery – East Krok.
