Kathleen Burns

Kathleen Burns, age 70 of Kewaunee died on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Emerald Shores Assisted Living.  She was born on September 12, 1947 in Illinois to the late Richard and Geraldine (Lemar) Burns.

She lived in Illinois most of her life and moved to the Kewaunee and Door county areas for about twenty-three years.  She worked at the Captain’s Table and Fisherman’s Table as a waitress for a number of years.  She loved the outdoors and the scenery in the area of Door and Kewaunee counties.  She loved photographing scenery and family celebrations.  She was an avid artist of oil paintings of still life.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law: Ricky Burns, Door County; Gregory and Sharon Snyder Jr., Oswego, IL; Ryan Kuhlmann, Algoma; two daughters and one son-in-law: Bridget Snyder, Glen Ellyn, IL and Dana and Lance Ziegler, Glen Ellyn, IL; seven grandchildern: Ambur; Stephanie; Nicole; Kyle; Megan; Mikey; Delilah; Devaughn; three sisters: Donna (Joe) Czepcynski; Eileen Robbs; Maureen (Dan) Prescott; two brothers: George Sherwin and Patrick Sherwin.  She was preceded in death by one brother: Michael Sherwin.

Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 9 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services.  A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Dcn. Chuck Agnew officiating.
