Kenneth L. Feld , 92, of Algoma, WI, passed away August 31, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 26, 1926 in Maplewood, the only child of the late Gustav and Laura Feld. Kenneth would meet the love of his life, Mary Ann Alexander, at a Forestville dance. They were married on September 14, 1948 at The Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Maplewood and would have celebrated their 70th anniversary this year.
Ken and Mary Ann spent 50 hard-working years on a farm north of Algoma where they raised their two daughters, Lori and Mary Jo, while Ken worked as a foreman at Plumbers Woodwork in Algoma. Retiring in 1990 after 37 years at Plumbers, Ken and Mary Ann moved to Algoma where they have lived for the past 15 years.
Ken’s favorite activities included watching football games and NASCAR races. Mary Ann and Ken traveled extensively throughout the US and Hawaii. A loving husband and father, proud Packer fan, lover of car races and all animals, he will always be cherished.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Feld, daughters Lori Feld (William) Oakley and Mary Jo (Charles) West, and grandchildren Luke and Ben Steele. He is preceded in death by his parents Laura and Gustav Feld, half-brothers Herman Schley, Irvine Schley and Leonard Schley, and half-sister Evelyn Schmiling.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:45 am at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Maplewood. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Carl Schmidt officiating. Online condolence messages may be shared at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes www.wiesnermassart.com.
