Kevin J. Metzler , 57, passed away on Monday May 22, 2023. He was born on July 12, 1965 to Jim and Linda (Bullion) Metzler.
Kevin was a hard worker and spent most of his career working at the Algoma Hardwoods. He greatly enjoyed spending his time watching and playing sports with a special passion for softball, playing in many leagues and tournaments with his friends. He loved cracking jokes, playing with his beloved cat Venus and sitting by the campfire with his friends any chance he could. He loved going to Northbrook for a few rounds of golf, playing Singo, or relaxing with his feet in the sand and a drink in his hand in Mexico.
He donated his time umping for youth softball and baseball and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his son Brett (Meghan) Metzler, Green Bay; grandchildren Maxwell and Stella Metzler; mother Linda Meltzer (special friend Tom Knaus), De Pere; sister Kim (Mike) Server De Pere; brother Jamie Metzler, Green Bay. He is further survived by nieces Crystal (Tom) Tyler and Shannon (Doug) Drewiske and nephew Kamran (mother Delaney) Metzler.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Jim Metzler, grandparents Mable and Edward Metzler as well as Rita and Lawrence Van Straten.
A gathering of family and friends will be on June 10, 2023 from 2-7 pm at the Kinnard Funeral Home – Casco gathering hall (behind the funeral home, north side of parking lot), 107 Wiesner Ave, Casco, WI 54205. In line with Metz’s spirit, food and drink will be offered throughout the gathering. Sharing of memories and stories will be held at 6:30pm. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial has been established in Kevin’s name to support his family.
