Leonard E. Pribek, age 89 of Kewaunee died on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. He was born on January 12, 1932 in Kewaunee to the late Joseph and Frances (Lischka) Pribek.
He married Anna Mae VanDeLoo on September 4, 1963 at St. Francis Church, Hollandtown and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2015.
She and Leonard farmed together in the Town of Montpelier until retiring. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Church at Krok, now St. Therese Parish. He loved baking after his wife passed away. He had a love for horses and horse pulls. He especially loved spending time with the grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law: Lenny Pribek; Mike (Jane) Pribek; one daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Dave Pelishek all of Kewaunee; six grandchildren: Kayla; Ashley; Nikki Pelishek; Emmit; Sawyer; Kellin Pribek; two brothers: Donnie (Dorothy) Pribek, Luxemburg and Eugene ( Delores) Pribek, Kewaunee four brothers-in-law: Fr. Willard (Willie) VanDeloo, DePere; Jerry (Marlene) VanDeloo, Green Bay; Cliff (Jan) VanDeloo, Hollandtown; Dick (Kay) VanDeloo, Eau Claire; three sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Connie) VandeHey, Kaukauna; Betty (Dick) Eiting, Hollandtown; Pat Marx, Appleton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Megan Pribek; two brothers: Wencil (Bernice) Pribek and Joseph (Joyce) Pribek III, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Delores and John Hofacker; a brother-in-law: Ed Marx; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Margie VanDeLoo.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 28 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at St. Joseph Church, Pilson after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Fr. Willard VanDeLoo and Fr. Dennis Drury. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
