Linda Lou (Guth) DeMeuse, 65, died June 24, peacefully with her family at her side. She was born January 22, 1946, in Algoma to Clarence and Olivia (Ullman) Guth. Linda attended St. Paul's School and graduated from Algoma High School in 1964. She graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Home Economics. She married Tom DeMeuse and later divorced.
Linda touched the lives of thousands of kids as a teacher. She taught home economics, worked in the high school library, aided the special needs children and right up to the end taught all grade levels at St. Paul's School. Linda was a member of the St. Paul's Alter Guild. She served on the Algoma Public Library Board. Linda loved to read, plant flowers, and spend time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her children, Scott (Katie) DeMeuse of Prairie Du Sac, Shelly DeMeuse of Green Bay, and Jeff (Alison) DeMeuse of Luxemburg; two brothers, Clyde (Betty) Guth of Green Bay and Jerry (Mary Lou) Guth of Algoma; three grandchildren, Emma and Calen of Luxemburg and Mariah of Green Bay; step brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Clearance and Olivia Guth, her stepfather Otto Krohn and one granddaughter, Amelia DeMeuse.
Friends may call at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, 1617 Flora Avenue, Algoma, on Monday, June 27, from 4-8 p.m. Wake service Monday evening. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 10-11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Church with Pastor John Moll officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetary.
