Lorraine Cecilia Neuzil , 91, of Rio Creek, passed away peacefully at Algoma Long Term Care Unit on Friday December 1, 2017. She was born on October 6, 1926 to the late Frank and Bozina (Bessie) (Vania) Michaletz. On May 12, 1945 she married Roy Neuzil. She was an employee of the Algoma Net Company for 50 years. She worked there until her retirement. Lorraine belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rankin and was a member of the Rankin Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Algoma FFA Alumni. Lorraine liked to play Sheepshead, and spend time with both family and friends. She and her husband Roy loved to entertain family and friends by treating them to a trout boil.
Lorraine is survived by her son Kenneth (Angela) Neuzil; grandchildren Daniel Neuzil and Kelly Miller; great-grandchild Kylie Miller; and one sister-in-law Kathleen Michaletz. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy; her parents Frank and Bessie Michaletz; five brothers Edward, Frank, Norman, Ralph, and John; nine sisters Anna Magle, Alice Laskowski, Mildred Zuege, Melva Mura, Stella Kostichka, Ethel Brauer, Lilly Pontzlaff, and infant sisters Margaret and Mary.
Visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rankin, on Monday December 4, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Christopher Jackson officiating.
