Margaret Peterson

Margaret Peterson, 90, of Kewaunee, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1935, in Gilman, WI to the late Andrew and Francis (Horvat) Mesiar. In August of 1955 she married John (Jack) E. Peterson in Evanston, IL. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime, active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, IL. Margaret was an avid gardener who had many beautiful gardens. She enjoyed walking the hills of her property and traveling with her daughters.

Margaret is survived by her children, Roberta Peterson (Thomas Sprowls), and John E. (Mary Beth) Peterson, Jr.; and her grandchildren, William Peterson, Madeline and Joseph Sprowls.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; her children, Michelle, Elizabeth, and Bruce Peterson; her parents Andrew and Francis Mesiar; her brothers, John, George, Chuck, and Andrew; her sisters, Mary Gallick, Irene Ballinger, Anne Honey, Valerie O'Such, Francis Mesiar, Elizabeth Marshal, and Sophie Washburn.
