Michael L. Verdegan

On June 29, 2025, Michael “Walter” Lee Verdegan of Kewaunee, WI passed away at the age of 65 years.

Walter was born in Kewaunee, Wisconsin on August 18, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Happy” and Helen, brother Jim and sister Mary Jo, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Walter is survived by: Ron Seehafer, brother-in-law: five nieces and nephews: Jeff, Matt, Jennifer, Shelly and Troy: Mary Rose Verdegan, aunt: many cousins and very good friends.

Walter graduated from Kewaunee High School. He recently retired from Kewaunee Fabrication where he spent his career as a welder.

Walter enjoyed living in Kewaunee, he liked the outdoors with the annual hunting and fishing trips. However, he never brought a gun or fishing pole! He enjoyed following the local and Wisconsin sports teams. His favorite pastime was visiting friends and acquaintances in the local establishments. He was a fun loving guy, who enjoyed the people who made him laugh & he was pretty good at returning the favor. Never a dull moment with him around & that’s why people loved him!

Walter was a good friend and a kind man. He will be missed by his many friends and family.
