Mildred (Millie) Vandeveld

March 4, 1920 — June 23, 2012

Mildred (Millie) Vandeveld, 92, Algoma, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on June 23, 2012. She was born March 4, 1920 in Luxemburg to the late Peter and Caroline (Pauly) Estel. She married Eben Vandeveld at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg on June 10, 1941. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2007.

Millie enjoyed spending time with her family, being a Rosary Society member, New Faith Life Choir member, working at Katches, leaugue golfing (winning many awards), being a St. Vincent DePaul volunteer and board member, crocheting, friday fish at Village Kitchen, many pot-luck dinners with friends and quilting, recently finishing her 11th quilt for her grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (David) Libal, Green Bay, Ruth (Lee) Mislinski, Escanaba, Rosie (Jim) Feld, Algoma, Patricia (Roger) Crabb, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren, Dawn (Emmy) Barron, DePere, Sara (Jack) Stoskopf, Plover, Susan (Ron) Reeb, DePere, Jennifer (Jamie) Spriks, Escanaba, Victoria (Casey) Schroeder, Escanaba, John (Melissa) Mislinski, Appleton, Timothy (friend Kristen DeClark) Feld, Algoma, Nicholas (Amy) Feld, Luxemburg, Andrew (Pam) Feld, Algoma, Christopher (Beth) Crabb, Green Bay, Debra (John) Turppa, Green Bay; 19 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben (Elaine) Estel, Bob (Marcy) Estel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Don Ledvina; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond (Elizabeth) Estel, Peter (Alice) Estel; sisters, Eleanor (Jacob) Wachal, Stacey (Frank) Krines; brother-in-law, Norman Jonet; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beulah and Lestor Bouchonville.

Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Algoma on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm and Thursday morning at church from 10 to 11am. Funeral 11am Thursday at St. mary's Church, Algoma with Fr. Bill Switchtenberg officiating. Entombment in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
