Norbert Joseph Kinnard, 91, Casco passed away at Autumn Fields Senior Living Community on Friday, August 3, 2018. He was born in the town of Lincoln on August 19, 1926 to the late William and Lucy (LeRoy) Kinnard. On October 18, 1949, he married Doris Jeanquart and together they operated a dairy farm in the Township of Red River for over 40 years. Their farm (Nor-Kin Farms) received awards for land conservation, Lake to Lake Quality Milk Production and Kewaunee County Distinguished Holstein Breeder. While farming, Norbert also worked at Algoma Hardwoods for 20 years. In addition to being a member of the Kewaunee County Farm Bureau and Holstein Breeders Association, Norbert served as a delegate for the Lake to Lake Dairy Cooperative, 21st Century Genetics and Kewaunee County Farm Services Agency. Farming was in his blood, and he felt very blessed that Sam and Shari purchased the family farm, allowing him to continue working on the farm long past retirement. Norbert was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church and received the state 2010 Catholic Order of Foresters Family Award for his lifelong commitment to church and community.
Surviving Norbert are his five loving children: daughter Lois (Ron) Mauermann, Green Bay and their children, Fred (Jessie), Phil (Ali), Jacob; son Roger (Theresa), Sturgeon Bay and their children Josh (Kim), Carmen, Hugh (Laura), Franni (Jeremy) Malcore, Ben; daughter Rita (Paul) Keber, Waukesha; son Sam (Shari), Casco, and their children Eric (Dixie), Jason, Adam; son Patrick, Kewaunee, and his children, Brent (Kari), Collin (Brittany), and Chantel. He is further survived by 17 great-grandchildren: Josie, Paige, Camden, Kendall, Jude, Chelsea, Walker, Mason, Lexie, Will, Ana, Lauren, Brock, Lane, Karter, Brixton and Ryder. Norbert is further survived by his brothers: Vincent (Darlene), Marvin (Donna), Allen (Dottie); sister Monica (Kilton) VandenHouten; sister-in-laws Emily Dhuey, Sharon Kinnard, Madeline Jeanquart. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, on April 7, 2017, his parents, his father and mother-in-law, George and Josephine Jeanquart, brother Mark Kinnard, sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws Celine (John) Cumber, Roy Jeanquart, George (Blanche) Jeanquart, Harris Dhuey, and Marie (James) Jadin.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday August 8, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, 107 Wiesner Ave., Casco. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thusday, Augut 9, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln (E2591 County Rd S, Casco) from 9:30-11:00 am. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 am with Father Edward Looney and Father Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
