Norbert “Moxie” J. Delebreau, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 10, 1938, in Casco, WI to the late Theophile and Veronica (Koss) Delebreau. Moxie married Joann Herold on April 18, 1959, and built a loving family together.
Moxie was a great lover of the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting and his many memorable trips out west with his hunting buddies. He also enjoyed participating in sports. Moxie found joy in golfing, bowling, and playing softball. And, together with Joann, he enjoyed taking unforgettable vacations to Florida, Las Vegas, Hawaii, and on various cruises, creating cherished memories together.
Moxie had an entrepreneurial spirit, and he opened “Moxie’s Supper Club,” in Casco, in 1967. Moxie’s became a community favorite, where many gathered to enjoy good food, laughter, and the warmth of friendship.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joann Delebreau; and children, Terri (fiancé Randy Cravillion) Delebreau, Doug (Gail) Delebreau, Lorri (Chuck) Heraly, and Dan (Amy) Delebreau; grandchildren, Katie (Mike) Shillin, Kristie Delebreau, Ryan (Shawna) Delebreau, Bradley (Denise) Heraly, Amy (Ian) Bushie, Bridget (Jim) LeCaptain, Brock (Jesus) Delebreau, and Danielle (special friend Sam) Delebreau; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Noelle, Conrad, Arlo, Elliot, Leah, and Lilyana; as well as by his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father- and mother-in-law, Bernie and Josie Herold; brothers and sisters, Albert (Rita) Delebreau, Florence (Leland) Paul, Edward (Agnes) Delebreau, John (Geraldine) Delebreau, Joseph (Ernestine) Delebreau, Donald (Jeanette) Delebreau, Donna (Robert) Juza, and 2 infant siblings; great-grandchild, Trenten Heraly; stepmother Catherine, sister-in-law Betty Jane (Bill) Brozek; and brother-in-law, Henry Pries.
In honoring Norbert’s wishes, there will be a private family visitation and funeral service held at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online Condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
